Now that 2007 is done, it's time to look towards 2008, and where that is concerned, I have an announcement to make. For a number of months now it has been my wish to start another webcomic that would be different from Galactic Drifter (though not taking its place), since I've been wanting to tell some other stories that I actually can't tell with Drifter and co. Originally, I was going to just write this new webcomic and have someone else draw it so I could focus on the art for Galactic Drifter. Due to unfortunate circumstances, however, this was not to be. And since I really, really want to do this new comic, I gave the situation a lot of thought, and I've made my decision.

Beginning in 2008, Galactic Drifter's update schedule will change. Instead of updating every five days, it will update once a week (or every seven days). Yes, I know this means fewer installments of Galactic Drifter, but this will allow me to work on both Galactic Drifter and the new webcomic without losing a lot of time. I will write and draw both comics. (Oh, and you Filibirdsters fans, fear not; that comic will continue as well, though I'm afraid it won't have a more regular update schedule than it already does.) The new comic won't start right away, since I have to have time to get it fully desgined first, but it will definitely debut in 2008. And by giving Galactic Drifter a weekly schedule, it can continue uninterrupted.

Man, I am so tired. What a year it's been. But, this was a much better year for me than most. I've achieved a lot this year, and I hope to continue making progress. I hope this year was a good one for you too. Here's to 2008 being an even better year for everyone!
